Lento Ad Astra was formed in 2011, when Zita Slavíčková (pianist) and Erik Rothenstein (saxophone player) decided to take advantage of their previous musical experiences and organize concerts together. They mostly play their own compositions and transcriptions of J.S. Bach’s cello preludes with a captivating interpretation. They recorded their debut album called ”Playing Šach with Mr. Bach“ In 2013.
